In your eyes, what are the most important challenges in your field?
I think it's essential to work well as a team. Good communication is key when you’re working on a project that involves several people—be it the client, the designer, the project manager, or other developers.
Then, efficiency matters. Depending on the budget, we might have more or less time to build a solution. The challenge is doing quality work within the time allowed.
Finally, finding joy in the process. It may sound silly, but you always need to enjoy what you’re doing. I believe being a developer is above all a passion-driven job. So it's important to find that enjoyment, even if it's sometimes hard—especially on older or more difficult projects. Personally, I enjoy my work most when I'm thinking about the best way to implement a feature, and when, in the end, I’m proud of my code and the user’s needs are met.

As a full-stack web developer, what do you enjoy most about your job?
Building solutions that meet the user’s needs and make them happy. Creating quality software and identifying the right design patterns for each situation when needed.
Which emerging trend in your industry excites you the most right now, and why?
Node.js frameworks. For some time now, server-side JavaScript development has become more popular (whereas it was mainly a front-end tool before). Node.js keeps gaining traction, and new frameworks are popping up every year. I think that’s really cool—even if some of these new tools can be a bit frustrating at times due to smaller or less mature communities.
Which recent innovation do you find most inspiring, and why?
AI—it’s really mind-blowing. Even though it still needs a lot of context to be accurate in complex scenarios, it's incredibly useful for everyday use. Where we used to scroll through 18 pages of Stack Overflow to find an answer, AI now often gives us the solution—or at least puts us on the right path. It’s a huge time-saver.
Also, AI is becoming more and more integrated into our daily tools, like IDEs. When we code, AI suggests lines based on context, and it’s often exactly what we had in mind. Of course, we still need to keep a critical eye—it’s important not to take AI’s suggestions as absolute truth. But it definitely saves a significant amount of time.
If you could instantly become an expert in any other field, which would it be and why?
If I could instantly become an expert in another field, it would be high-level sports, like basketball or swimming. I love the spirit of competition, pushing your limits both physically and mentally, and that exhilarating feeling of improving to win.
In a tech-driven world, what simple, offline pleasure is essential to your well-being?
Sport! “A healthy mind in a healthy body.” I really believe staying physically active helps you feel good. Whether it’s for stress relief, self-esteem (I had very little confidence in myself before I started working out regularly), the social connections it can bring, or simply staying fit—it’s essential.
What’s the most surprising skill you have, and how did you acquire it?
I know all the world’s capitals! I learned them by repeating them over and over for several days. Some people would find that tedious, but I was motivated by the idea of knowing them all in the end!
What are the top 3 songs on your playlist that motivate you at work?
What personal or professional skill would you most like to develop further?
General knowledge. Especially in history and geography—it’s something I love and find fascinating. I’m particularly interested in Antiquity and the great empires that reached their peaks. I think understanding where we come from is super valuable—and just really interesting.
